In this final episode of our 8 Days series, I'm pulling back the curtain on the invisible force that's created more business success than any funnel, strategy, or tactic - and why it's more crucial than ever in 2025.

You'll discover:

  • The unconventional retention strategy that's kept clients with me since 2020
  • What happened when I broke industry "rules" about client relationships
  • Why my highest-converting offers aren't the ones with the best marketing
  • The simple daily practice that keeps my clients coming back year after year

Plus, I share a personal reflection on showing up consistently for this 8-day series with a newborn (and the surprising insight it revealed about my 2025 plans!)

This is day eight of the eight days to light up your year. And. It has been an incredible experience doing it. I've actually like really enjoyed this process of daily episodes. I've been, I bashed a little bit. I sometimes I did it on the day of the day before, and I just really enjoyed seeing like that I was capable of doing something this consistently. I actually Since the baby's been born, I've been like being like, oh my gosh, I can't be interested in anymore. It's really hard to be consistent. And this made me feel like, yes, it is possible. And if I can do this for. Eight days in a row. I a hundred percent can do a couple of episodes a week for my podcast and have podcast episodes for months. Thank you for showing up for this and listening and being part of this. I appreciate you so much. And I wanted to share this to me, it was like the core of my business, I think. And. It always has been. And I feel like. This is so important. Especially going into 2025. Because. The most meaningful part of my business really isn't necessarily the revenue or the results. It's the relationships that lasts long after our work together ends. And. I obviously love revenue and I love money. That's why I'm in business. If I wasn't making money, I wouldn't have a business. That being said. I did a little rent on my on my. Instagram, I'm going to actually, I'm going to link to it. I did it right before I had the baby. So I have to find it. It was good. It was one of my, one of my coaching pet peeves. And I am going to, I'm going to drop the link below so you can see it, but basically the idea being that people. People will just. Um, you'll work with them and then they'll, and then they'll there'll be like all over you and all over your content. Like this conditional relationship. Feel. And then if you, as soon as you stop paying them, all of a sudden, like you disappear out of their life, you don't just need more. They won't engage with your stuff. They won't like your stories. They won't like your posts. And I, and it really bothered me cause I actually have had amazing coaches. Most of whom did not treat me like this. Okay. Most of them. But I have had some, and I've spoken to people with these stories. Like these coaches like love bomb them while they're working together. And then all of a sudden, like they were not working together anymore. And it was like, they just did not exist as human beings. That really bothered me. And to be honest, from the beginning of my business I have I've always prioritized relationships and that's how that's how I got my first official like proper VA client, by the way. It was I actually remember this very well. I connected with I was in a Facebook group. Oh, I was looking, I was in my friend Monica frozen's Facebook group. She had she had a Facebook group for mom business owners. And Another woman, Heather Farris, who was her? Who was her VA at the time, I think was looking for someone to write a blog post, do like a, like basically write a blog post for her website. About the envelope budgeting method. And I'd actually, did we just start, we started doing, using the envelope budgeting method. I'm like, oh, I can do that. And I wrote the blog post for her for free and we connected and we became really good friends and she actually. Connecting me my first VA client. And I just like. I found that relationships have always been the core of my business. It's been how I've gotten, I've grown my email list of the most right through collaborations. It's been how I've had gotten a lot of my clients because people have referred me. My clients have referred me. My friends have referred me. And I think at the heart of it really is. The I genuinely care about my client's lives beyond their business, and I genuinely care about them. As people. And I will have. Genuine conversations with people in the DMS. But yes could be sales conversations, but I really truly want to get to know people and where they are and what they need. Because to me it's very hard to sell something to someone. If you don't actually know who they are and what they need. And. If it's not the right thing for them, you don't want to sell to them. Excuse me. I actually was listening in on a joint live that a bunch of my former clients and current clients actually. We're doing together. In my, in our copy coach, Jen's Facebook group. And they were all talking about, oh w we all came together. They actually all. Most of them met through my coaching program. And which makes me really happy because I love when people find like lifelong friends, I love being able to bring people together that makes me like really stoked. And they were, they actually mentioned a few times. Like the importance of relationship and they're like, yes yeah. I was really good at that. And I'm like, it's not like a strategy. I'm not like strategic and be like, let me strategically care about you. But what people really notice and mentioned over and over again, was that like, oh, wow. Like you're really having a conversation with me. You're not just forgetting about me just because I haven't paid you the second. And My clients. Number one when they, when they come into my world, I will watch their stories. I want to see what's going on in their lives. I'll remember what's going on with them. I'll be like, oh, how'd that go and have that, That kid was sick. And how have you been feeling and whatever. Like I will be following them on social because I want to know what is literally happening with them in their lives. I'll be checking in on them and be like, Hey, have you been feeling. You mentioned you guys were sick. I remember you mentioned you were sick. How do your husband's surgery go? Et cetera, et cetera. Because I actually do freaking care about them as human beings and what. After they finish my programs, I will still be following them on social media and it will still engage them. Am I going to be coaching them for free in the DMS all the time? No, because they're not paying me to coach them, but. It does not mean that they suddenly do not exist to me because we work together. I very much, as discussed in my, in a couple of episodes ago, And I very much love having long-term programs six to 12 months minimum. And I really like. When I get to know them, I really get to know them. And I've been following along with their lives and, chatting about their things and. To me. That's what is able to make me a good coach, because I'm able to take what's going on in their lives and taken into consideration when I'm coaching them. And I'm not going to be giving them like tone deaf stuff. Oh oh your, your kids have all been sick this week, but have you shown up and done a daily story? No I need to know what's going on in your life in order to give you the The coaching. Feedback that you deserve and that, that will actually work for you. Okay. And one of my clients And when I'm really proud of. Okay. And I'm really proud of this because. And I'm okay. Being proud of it. I'm going to brag. I'm going to brag for a minute. I have clients who have been working with me. Since. 2020. I've coaching clients. If you've worked with me since 2020. On and off. That's perfect. That's five years. Okay. And not just one, it's like multiple people. There are people who buy things from me again and again. And so the cool thing about this is I know my attention is good and the reason why my attention is good is because using some people here, as an example in my, who are currently in my mastermind, Okay. And I'm not saying this as a way, like to brag. Oh, look how magnetic I am. I keep people in my life forever. But One of my clients, Katie. Mike. My coaching, my copy code jet. And who's the well, the copy coach in our mastermind and also in our mastermind. She. Joined my first. Group program back in March, 2020. And we're still working together today. Mike current client, Katie. Joined my first round of my accelerator, which is which. It's shifted over time, but it was called the baby group business accelerator. I launched at the end of 2020. It was the first. The first Veneta. It was the first official, like very curriculum sort of group program that I created at the end of 2020. She joined that round. And. She was in that round for a while. And then she finished and she left the program. I still continued to follow her on social media. I still commented on her stuff. I still recommended her for the thing that she was an expert at, because if I have. Clients or former clients that I know are really good at what they do. Why would I not recommend them? Why would I not endorse them? Why would I not cheer them on? There's still women that I come to love and appreciate and admire. So much. And I only work with people who I love and appreciate and admire like on, on a high proximity basis because. Honestly like that. That's why I had obligations. That's why I have conversations with people and, make sure that we vibe right. But. She joined my mastermind and then she rejoined a CEO mom academy. When it was a group coaching program again, and then she joined a mastermind at the end of 2023 for 2024, and she's re and she's re enrolled for 2025. And. The point is, and the reason is that. We've worked together for so long and, there's that, long-term that longterm thing again, right? That like when you have a long-term We have a longterm. What's your we'll call it. Veneta when you have a longterm relationship with someone you're able to coach them so much better. And she even said I asked why did you join. Why do you join the mastermind? What was your biggest motivator? And should I already had so much history with you? And I know I do better and stay cares about what I have a coach and I wanted to keep the momentum. And. It was I love, I just love her. She's such an expert at what she does. She's just a wonderful human being. And. And she was like, oh I think at some point, like in between. Her being in my programs and I was commenting. I'm like, oh, I noticed that you did this and that, I'll just switch this up. Cause I. As a friend, I would just say that, Hey, maybe at captions because I, I was scrolling through it. I would have, I didn't want to listen to the whole story, but I really was interested in what you had to say. I wanna remember if it was something like that, but maybe it was something like that. Oh, that's so you thank you so much. And I'm like, It's sad that people think of that is just being a kind person, just being like a friend and being like a good person and continuing to keep a relationship with your clients. Is unusual, but maybe it isn't unusual and maybe that's why I stand out. And so I have that joy of, yeah. I have clients who we worked together for a year or two years. And other no longer record with me. And am I still following them on social media and still commenting on their Instagram stories? Yes. Am I doing it all the time? My following them excessively and commenting on every single post and sending long DMS and messages. No, because I have. My business priorities, my work priorities, but I'm going to staying in touch. And am I keeping a relationship going? Yes, because they are amazing people and I love them. Okay. And I just really love this joy of being able to celebrate their whole journey from before they started working with me through their time, working with me. And now beyond seeing my clients grow and thrive is just such a beautiful thing. Like just now I saw two of my clients had worked together. One of my former clients built the website for another one of my former clients. And then I saw that former clients framework presented. There's a signature framework on our website. And I was like, oh my gosh. And he goes, yes, I finally have it after, a year and a half of Nope. Planning to do it. I finally had a L framework on my website. I'm like, no, it's a U framework, but I was just celebrating that. I was just so proud. Of these two clients, it was just such a beautiful thing for me to see. And so I just really feel that. When you genuinely care. About your clients that can create natural retention. Right now, if you don't give a crap, then. It's gonna be very hard to genuinely care about people. So if you really don't care, then maybe you should be selling more hands off set offers that enable you to take a step back. But. I know that I want to have a coaching program in my business all the time. At least one. At all times, not because I don't like passive income because I do, and I'm building a lot more positive and go into my business in 2045. So watch the space. But because I find it helps me stay connected to my people and their needs and the desires and their thoughts and dreams and goals. And that is crucial for me as a business owner, but also as. As I create content. As. I as I go. Into my business when. I sit down to work. I'm able to connect. Correct too. That. That feeling and. And those people and. I'm able to really. We really show. Show up in a genuine. Relationship. Focused way. And. That is. That is my super. Super power. That's one of my super. Powers. Okay. Okay. How do you stay? They connected authentically. There are a lot of ways and I'm not going to give you a list. Because there's so many ways. And I think you can sit and brainstorm this out for yourself, depending on who your clients are and how you work together. But following them in an engaging naturally and social media, celebrating their wins and their sharing, their wins. Sharing sympathy when they're going through hard times. I'm remembering and celebrating personal moments. If you can. But not the best at this, but to be fair, I'm not the best at this with most people in my life. Remembering their birthdays and saying, saying happy birthday to them or celebrating their birthdays inside of, you're inside of your programs or living your programs. Sharing relevant resources, just because, just sharing relevant things that you think might help them like, oh, Hey, I'm doing this new live free thing. And I think it's going to really help you right now with what, what you're dealing with. Like just remembering them. And honestly, like if you, if it makes it easier for you and I do this. Okay, exactly. Write things down. I'm a mom. I have mom brain. I just have a list of people you like to just check in with. I have a list in my notes app of people I like to check in with. So if they're not showing up automatically in my social media feed, I will search for them. And engage. Okay. Because I want to just stay up to date with what's going on with them. I want to, because I care about them as people and they want to know how they're doing. Just you'd want to know how any of your friends are doing so again, I don't think that you should be like, oh, make everyone your BFF. And just grow an audience of cheerleaders who comments on all your stuff and never buy anything from, But. Genuinely caring. And generally caring about their experience. With you and beyond. Is what is going to create natural retention. Okay. When you are able to stay up to date with your clients throughout your. You know when you're, when they're in your program. And also when they're not right, as just human beings and I'm not saying okay, if you have a membership with a thousand people, you have to stay in touch with every single person, but definitely high proximity clients, liking their posts such as small, easy thing to do. And it makes a difference to them. It pushes things out from the algorithm, responding to one of the Instagram stories or like your take or oh, here are the books or this year don't worry about that book too. And I loved it. It's literally as simple as that. It's literally as simple as that. To me. The real miracle of. My business is. The relationship. That I've built. Are the relationships that I've built. And that's where that's today's secret code word is miracle. That's. To tie into Hanukkah and also this miracle of. Of being there. To celebrate their entire journey. I love watching my clients grow both while they're working with me. And also when they're through working with me. Okay. And I still have past clients who recommend me and will tag me. And I had clients who in between working with me in between containers were recommending me and tagging me. But I still I was part of a summit for my previous clients, the funnel flippers. They had an amazing summit that happened when I was on maternity leave and I interviewed for it. Right before I had my baby. And and they thought of me, they thought of me and they're like, oh, we'd love to, do this. And we'd love to have you as part of our summit. Are they currently paying any money? No. Did I show up and be a part of their summit and promote them? Yes, because they are incredible people and I want them to win. Whether or not, they're currently paying me money. Okay. I just want you to sit and think. About. When you are thinking about your business longterm. The real richness. Of your business, that wealth, you're going to feel like long-term, when you look back at what you've done in your business. Yes. You're going to think about the money that you've made, because that is important. And I do not. I'm not saying, oh, you shouldn't be in business to make money because of course you should ask the point of business. But. But. When it comes to. Your clients. When it comes to. Panetta. When it comes to thinking about creating those longer term containers and stuff. I want you to think Number one. Are you willing to play the long game? And being in long-term relationships with people. Obviously the longest. I've. I've been in a long-term relationship with my husband for 16 years. And there's going to be ups and downs in your relationship. And there's going to be harder times. There's going to be times where maybe you have a misunderstanding and you have to have hard conversations and stuff, but You can show up and show you care. Without an agenda. And if you can show up and show that you care without an agenda. People will feel that. And they'll want to stay in your world. Okay. And we truly care about your clients. You will also truly care about their client experience and that is going to lend itself to better programs and better offers. And that is going to lend itself to more referrals and more money eventually. Yes, but. I really, truly do think that is why. Clients stay in my world for a long time. I really do think that is. And if you're a current client and you think there's another reason I invite you to reach out and let me know. Please do I'd love to hear why you've stayed in my world for a long time, but I really do think that's true. And again, it's not with an agenda and it's if you, and I'm not saying you can't share offers that you think might be a good fit for them a hundred percent, you can. But if that's all you do, then yes, it's going, that's going to be an agenda. If you are engaging with them and liking their posts and commenting and just loving on them, whether or not they're working with you. And then every once in a while, you're like, Hey, I have this really amazing offer coming up. And it just felt like you. Or there's feels like it's the perfect thing for you based on what we were discussing last time we were speaking. That is natural. That is organic. That is relationship based sales. Okay. And watching the transformation my clients have had. One of my clients, came into my program in 2020 making$500 a month. And now she has a growing membership. She has high ticket retainer clients. She's multiplied that. By a lot. I don't like sharing exact exactly that numbers, unless they give me specific permission. But I will just say that it's been a lot. Okay. I had a client who came in making$3,500 a month from one client and working 40 hours a week for that one client. And in our year and a half or so of working together. She got to 16, 17 cane, monthly recurring revenue. And was there is hiring team members. And I'm still in touch with her on Instagram. It's still coming down or stuff. And she was able to share with me. She went through very hard times. We were working together. She she had a sibling who had a who had, who was very sick and passed away. She had some health situations with her. With their husband. And she was able to show up. For herself, for her business in such a beautiful way. And she felt genuinely that I cared about what was going on with her because they actually freaking did. All right. So all I'm going to say is this, if you want a coach who cares. About you beyond. Your money in their bank account. Hello, it's me. And I'm also. A freaking brilliant strategist. So. I'm just going to say it. I'm going to say it because it's true. Okay. I have so much experience in so many different niches, so many different areas of marketing that I'm able to pull together. These amazing customized strategies for my clients. Not like cookie cutter oh, just follow this one way and then it will work and it doesn't work. But really being able to pull together all these pieces. In a beautiful way. And that is my zone of genius. That's my zone of genius. I just wanted to share those with you. Nature check out McConnicko offers they're only available for, the next 24 hours or so. And I cannot wait to see where you go in 2025. Please share your takeaways. Tag me for bonus entries. And I will. Be back. With a regularly scheduled programming in 2025.
