am I just selling the same offer the same way because I've always done it that way, or does this actually align with what my clients need, how I best can deliver it with my life right now? I want you to really think about that because again, we sometimes just do things because we've always done it that way or because we've seen other people do it that way and we're like they must have had a good reason, right? But when it comes down to it, you have to do things the way that works for you, and that is where true innovation comes from, right? Being the leader means leading yourself as well. And not just following the crowd or just following your rut that you're stuck in because you've always done it that way. It really requires looking at yourself and looking at your business and deciding no, I'm going to lead, I'm going to, I'm going to craft my business in the way that actually makes sense for me right now, and I will optimize and tweak along the way because that's how life goes. We need to optimize and tweak for every season that we're in. Welcome to the Raising Your Business Podcast. I'm your host, Al Behan, founder of CEO Mom Academy, mom of Six and Lifelong Reading addict. This podcast is here to empower moms to run their businesses and lives like the powerhouse CEO. They are. I want you to believe that you can have the business success you desire. And be present with your family and to give you my best tips and strategies for how to make that happen. I'll be sharing the honest reality of balancing business and motherhood biz models that work for you. Marketing simplicity, and the mindset of A CEO, mom. Now let's dive in. Hello. Hello. Welcome back to the podcast, and I'm so glad you were here. So whether you're listening to this while folding laundry or hiding the bathroom for five minutes of peace or. Actually just sitting on to listen on purpose and bless you if you are. And if you are, I highly recommend taking some notes.'cause there's some really good stuff in here. This one is really gonna hit, and all I'm gonna say is I'm not one to believe in superstitious things, but I don't know. I feel like this episode maybe has jinxed a little bit because I've already recorded it twice and both times something went wrong with the audio. So I'm going to. I'm gonna check the audio right now to make sure it's recording properly and then I'm gonna start again. But I have currently bribed my 11-year-old who wanted to go shopping for some food that we were missing in the house, and I told him he had to bring the baby with him. And so I am grabbing this opportunity and that is why this is coming to you a couple days late. Due to the ridiculous amounts of re-recording I've had to do Okay, we're back and I've checked. All the audio settings and I think we are good. So I wanna talk about something today that I've been hearing about from a lot of people recently. Some, sometimes in my clients, my Instagram dms and even some people in my own mastermind. And they've been saying things like, my business just feels off, right? I don't get it. I used to know exactly what I was doing and now everything feels fuzzy and stuck and weirdly hard and like I don't have the same confidence that I used to have and I feel like I'm doing all the right things and and they don't seem to be working the same way they used to. And if you are nodding right now, this is for you. So if you might've had successful. Business months, maybe business years before maybe you've had 5K months, eight k months, maybe you've even hit your, the Holy Grail of 10 K months, right? Clients love you, your content is solid, you're showing up, but the momentum is just not there, right? Everything that maybe used to work so seamlessly for you, it just is not hitting the same. And you're like, wait, is it me? Is it my messaging? Is it my offer? Is it the algorithm? And you're like, I don't know, maybe the recession is it. People just don't, aren't buying anything anymore, or people just aren't buying premium things anymore. And in the meantime, real life is still happening. You're answering emails while you're wiping someone's nose. You're stirring, mac and cheese with one hand and voice noting a client with the other hand, and the floor is covered in Cheerios. Again I don't know, are they breeding? I swear they just pop outta the ground like mushrooms. That is what I think out of the floor of my own house.'cause no matter what I do, I'll always find a rogue cheerio somewhere. And as someone who's preparing for Passover, this was very stressful., so I need you to hear me when I say this, okay? You have not lost your touch. You have not outgrown your magic, okay? Your confidence did not just disappear. Out of nowhere, and you're like, it's just gone. Never to return again. You have just outgrown your business set up. That is all you've changed, you've evolved, right? You've gotten clear on what you want. You've gotten clear on who you serve. You've gotten clear on what you don't want and how you don't wanna be spending your time, but your business might still be running on that old version of you and that disconnect. That's what you're feeling, right? It's not burnout, it's misalignment. And what we do very often to fix this sort of thing is look for all the strategies. Oh, maybe I'll try this, maybe I'll try that. Maybe I'll have a membership. Maybe I'll start on TikTok. Maybe I'll start doing, I don't know, YouTube or maybe I'll start. I dunno, running ads, right? You, we try to find anything to fill that void between what we. Are doing what used to work so well and what does not seem to be landing anymore. And honestly, this is happening to a lot of people. Okay. And to me as well, some stuff that used to be so comes to me so easily just. I seem to feel like I'm forcing it a little bit. And I was talking to my friend Jess the other day, and she said that we're not, this is such a great line. She said, we're not just in a recession, we're in a trust recession, right? People are no longer buying just because your stuff looks polished or because it just seems cool, right? They need to experience you. They need a reason to buy, okay? They need to feel like you understand them inside and out. Okay? And I feel like sometimes we just need to take a step back and just take a little reset, right? Do a refresh, do some discover what people are saying right now and go back to basics a little bit, right? If we were working together in my mastermind, I would not just be giving you another tactic to add your to-do list. We'd be rolling up our sleeves and doing a full-blown business spring cleaning. Okay. It's Passover. We're in the cleaning mode and so we're doing a spring cleaning for your business too. So today I'm gonna be giving you a peek at exactly how I help my clients reset when they feel this stuck, right? The three shifts that we can make to bring business into alignment with the actual life that they're living. And this can work for you too. And so that's why I would I was saying. Take some notes or write something down, even just on your notes app on your phone. Just write down anything that lands with you here that you feel could really just work for you. Okay, so last week we talked about, um, the questions to ask yourself, um, the mindset shifts to make when you feel like maybe burning it all down and like things are just not working the way they used to, and you're like, maybe I just need something completely new. So something completely different. So that is what we focused on last week was the mindset piece. This week you're gonna be talking a little more about the strategy of resetting your business, um, and what we're gonna be doing together in your momentum era. Now, this is obviously just, uh, one little bit. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what we can do together in three weeks. But, um, I wanted to give you the strategy piece as well.'cause to me both pieces are really, really important. And so this is gonna be kind of part two, um, how to reset your business, um, from a strategic point of view. And there's gonna be some mindset in here also because there always is. But keep in mind that this is the follow on from last week's episode. So you're gonna wanna listen to last week's before you listen to this week's in order to really get on top of, the mindset you need to be in when you're looking at the strategy. So just wanted to interject that because this was supposed to go first. Then I realized you really need the mindset first, and so I switched it around. So make sure you listen to last week's before you listen to this one, and let's keep going. So the first shift is the calendar reset. So the first thing I'd have you do is some sort of full on calendar audit. Like actually pull up your calendar and ask, does this reflect how I want to live and work right now? So here's what I would have you do. Alright. Firstly, I want you to block one to two 90 minute CEO blocks each week that are non-negotiable. CEO blocks are basically time where you spend actually working on your business and not in it. And it sounds such a, it's such a, it's such a. Overused phrase, so I don't like it, but it's true. Very often we can just continue doing stuff because we've always done it that way without really thinking like, wait, am I just doing this because it's always worked, but is it not working right now or am I doing it because it's actually still working? Like for example, I don't know, meal planning. That worked when my kids were small. Maybe doesn't work when my kids are bigger. My evening routine does not work now the same way it did when my kids were all small and went to bed by seven 30. Because now I have teenagers and they're all, they're staying up later than me, frankly. I'm the one passing out on the couch, and they're just like, just tootling around me, just doing their thing. And I wake up at one in the morning and I just still see people up and chatting like it's the middle of the day. And I'm like, what are you doing? Go to sleep. Everything. Business has seasons, right? And so maybe you are just running your business in a way that is not fitting this season, and how do we realize that we actually have to sit and think about, is this actually working for us, right? Is what I'm doing is the way I'm creating content, is the way I am selling, are my offers actually working for me? Or are they overwhelming me or feeling like they just do not fit my season right now? So the way to avoid this is to take time regularly to sit and assess what is going on in your life, how you're running your business, how you're running your time, and seeing if this actually works with your current season. Okay? So that is the first thing I want you to do is really just take some time and really just look at your calendar and be like, am I actually spending my time in a way that moves the needle for me? Or am I just doing stuff that I've always done because I've always done it? Am I creating this type of content or this amount of content or whatever, because it's always worked that way. Or maybe I need to shift a little bit. Maybe I need to shift my messaging a little bit. Maybe I need to shift the way I'm creating content. Maybe I need to move into a different a different format of content, right? So I want you to think about that are you actually spending your time in a way that actually moves the needle? Or are you just doing stuff for the sake of it? Okay. That is the first thing. And when it comes to your calendar as well, I want you to really just think about boundaries, right? Building in, client calls when it actually makes sense for you, and not trying to build your family life around your client calls. Building in hard stop times that protect your family rhythms it would be having a rule for yourself that you close your laptop before dinner and that is it, right? Or maybe, you close your laptop at 3:00 PM and that is it. Or. You only for me this would be, I only work I, I generally like, unless it's like an emergency or like some, there's some stuff I'm just doing some behind the scenes team level work where I'm, I am approving things or whatever, but I am not gonna try to work on my laptop when my baby is awake, unless of course, right now when he's out with his brother. I am going to do it. I'm gonna work during his nap. I'm gonna do my recordings during his nap. If I don't get it done that, then it's gonna have to happen after bedtime and I'm gonna be closing my laptop at a certain time. And the truth is, at this point in my life, I do work in the evenings and sometimes later than I would like to. But you know what? I'm doing that because I made a personal choice that I want my baby home with me. And if I didn't wanna do that, I could send him out. I could send him out to daycare, but I don't want to send him out to daycare. I enjoy having him around. He's so cute. And like I just enjoy this baby stage so much, even more now that I have big kids and I know what's coming. So I, to me, it's really important that I build my business in a way that works for me. And I'm not doing it like, oh my gosh, I can't believe I have to stay awake. No. I am so lucky, right? That I get to have a business that I can do the work at 10:00 PM or I can do it at 10:00 AM. And yeah, my, my energy will be a little bit lower at 10:00 PM for sure. But I'm so lucky that I have a business that enables me to do that. And then I don't have to go out to work every day and send my baby out to daycare, and I get to see his development. So are you thinking I have to do this stuff, or I get to do this stuff? Like how are you framing the way you're spending your time, and if you find that you're maybe falling into just like a default, like reactive mode instead of proactive mode. And I encourage you to think about being a little more proactive about how you schedule your time and your daily rhythms and your weekly rhythms. So one of my clients. She used to book client calls, whenever that she'd just open up every day she had, client calls available every day. And then people would book them and then she'd go crazy trying to fit, childcare and be like, oh, I need someone to watch my kid while I have this client. And it was very stressful for her. And so what she ended up doing was creating call boundaries, right? And having a specific day of the week, one day of the week that she did client calls. And once she created those call boundaries, she had more energy. She was able to plan her childcare ahead of time because she knew that every Monday, between, I don't know, 10 and two, she would have client calls and that was it. And her conversion rate actually went up when she was doing these discovery calls as well because she just felt so much more regulated when she would get onto these calls in the first place.'cause she wasn't coming from a place of stress. She was coming from a place of being proactive and not reactive. Okay, so my tip for you is to look at your calendar. And literally just like assess, look at how you're spending your time and block off at least one 90 minute CEO block a week, if not two that are non-negotiable that you spend actually looking at your business and looking at the, how your business is working and seeing if this actually aligns with what is working for you. Is this actually leading to money, is actually leading to more freedom for you, or is it trapping you into what feels like another job? Okay, so that is my, my, my first shift that I want you to make is your calendar reset. The second one is your offer simplification. Reset. Okay. Next up we are cleaning house in your offer suite. So here's the deal. Most of you're holding onto way too many offers, not because they're necessarily working, but because they feel safe, right? You've sold them before you know how to deliver them. They're familiar, but safety does not necessarily equal success. And familiarity is not the same thing as alignment. All right? And like for, here's an example. There's a perfect example right now, sorry, I keep sniffing. And so if you hear a random like sniff here and there, I have a cold. Shockingly. So my client right now is working on freshening up her, like VIP intensive, right? And she was saying like, I always offer this, I was always offering two weeks or three weeks of ongoing messaging support after, right? So she would do the intensive, then she would deliver them the report, and then she would be like, okay, this also includes three weeks of support afterwards. And she was like, you know what? A lot of times my people don't even need it. And I just feel like the ongoing support is just a different offer altogether. I. And I feel like I should have just maybe even two offers. Like one is just like the 90 minute call or the two hour call or whatever. And the report like the full, personalized, plan. And I have a month of consulting, which will include. The kickoff call, which is the same call. And so that she's I feel like I should break them into too. And so she's feeling right now just because she's always included that support does not mean she needs to always include it going forward. It really depends on what her clients have actually needed in the past. And I was like I can't tell you this. You have to figure this out for yourself in a way, because I don't know how your clients react to the ongoing support. And she goes, I actually, I feel like a lot of them don't even need it. Or they're very confused.'cause they're like, wait. Is this part of it is this consulting And if I pitch consulting to them on the call or at the end of the call, then they're like, wait, but are these three weeks included? Is this, when do we start? It was just very confusing for them. She was like, I just feel like I need to create. Two different offers. Amazing. There we go. Okay. So she's really just taken her existing offer and made it align more with what her clients actually want and need and what works the most for her, and what creates the least amount of friction for herself. So here's what I would have you do, okay? I want you to list everything you've sold in the last 90 days, okay? Maybe 90 to 180. So let's say three to six months. What have you sold in the last three to six months? And then I want you to circle the one that is the most profitable and the easiest to deliver. Okay. And I want you to shelf everything else for the next 30 days. Just give it a breather and focus on selling this offer. Okay. So as example, my client, Catherine, right? So she realized that she was coming to a slower season in her one-to-one branding photo shoot work and Right. And she was required a lot of traveling and she, it was getting towards the end of the year and she didn't have as much time to take on those clients anyway. And then she intentionally leaned into launching her course for brand photographers on how to style brand photo shoots. She launched it in December, added 5K to her month while actually enjoying her work, spent the past three months delivering the content, and now she has a bonus income stream that she can continue driving traffic to bringing people into that offer without having to actually spend more time because she's already created the program, right? So I would ask yourself what is one offer that energizes me and gets my clients the best results? Let's sell that and let's let the rest chill and. Secondly, right? Is am I just selling the same offer the same way because I've always done it that way, or does this actually align with what my clients need, how I best can deliver it with my life right now? Okay, so that is the second piece, right? When it comes to your offers, which offer is the best for you, that sells you, that energizes you, and gets the best results for your clients, and ideally gives you the most profit. And let's focus on selling that for 30 days and see what happens. Okay? The third shift is your marketing plan, and I call this one the minimum effective dose marketing plan. You do not need to be everywhere. You need to be consistent somewhere. Okay? So here's how we can keep it really simple. You choose one platform that your ideal people are on. Alright. You spend about two hours a week max on content, right? So maybe 30 minutes to plan out the content you're gonna create and then an hour and a half to write it or create it. I really do not think you need a lot more than that. I really don't. If you're spending a lot more time than that, then you might have a problem with your messaging'cause you're stuck on what to say, right? I would take your best post of that week and turn it into an email to send to your list. Ideally, adding a call to action to sell something because you wanna sell to your audience. That's how life works, right? You're growing your audience, you're nurturing your audience, you're selling to your audience, and I want you to have one sort of sales asset that can work while you rest. So inside the Mastermind, we're creating a pod funnel, which is a private podcast funnel that essentially sells our high ticket offers without actually having to get on sales calls because it really just. Introduces people to your entire process, your offer, the value the results. And it basically sells them on it. It's basically a webinar and podcast forum, but it's not a webinar. It's a lot to explain in this episode, and I'm not gonna go deeply into it, but. If this sounds like something that you, your audience would really love, right? Having a pod funnel then you are going to love that and you should definitely join the mastermind because our pod funnel Coach Tara is coming in. so I help you really just craft the perfect offer for the pod funnel and really just optimize your offer to be able to sell without you, and then she helps you. Create the sales asset that will sell it, right? So these PO funnels can sell your offer while you're chasing toddlers or I don't know, binging suits for the 17th time. Whatever you wanna do, you can do, as long as you have that sales asset that can work while you're doing other things. So if you have content that consistently points towards that sales asset, then you don't need to do a lot of work, because all you need to do is create the front end content that leads back towards that entryway point, and it will do the work for you. Okay. If you do not have this right, if you do not have this sort of sales asset, I would really start thinking about what you can create that will do that. Alright? So whatever, whether that looks like A-A-V-S-L, like a video sales letter, or a mini webinar or some sort of training that walks you all through your process, like that is the ideal place to start to get people into your world and just show them what you do without you having to. Live in person, be like, here's what I do, here's what I do. Let's get on a call. Let's get on a call. I'm not saying you're not gonna get on any calls anymore, but you want to at least have something that can do a lot of the teaching and training for you so that the call is just the. What was it called? The three inch put right, the 20%. So this, these assets just do 80% of the work and the calls should be the 20% That just tips them over the edge into working with you or not depending on what they want. But if they're already pretty much pre-sold on you before they get on a call, they're much more likely to con, to convert on the call. And then you are not wasting your time on calls. Your calls are actually doing something right. So my last tip for you. Inside the minimum effective dose marketing is number one, is have something to send people to. If you don't have something to send people to, then reach out to me and let's chat. We can talk about what makes the most sense for you and your business and what makes the most sense for your offer as well. Because not every sales asset is gonna work for every type of offer. And my second tip is do what works for you. If you love carousels, then two carousels, right? If you love reels, do reels. If you hate reels, don't do reels. Or at least take one carousel and repurpose it into a reel. Just take the hook from the carousel, stick it on some b-roll, add a trending audio, and put the rest of it in the caption, and boom, you have a reel, right? You get to win in your zone and ideally. Ideally, you would have something like ManyChat that does the delivery for you, so you can just make it very easy. Comment this keyword and everything will work for you behind the scenes, which is ideal because you do not wanna have to be sitting there DMing a million people who have commented the keyword I, which would be wonderful if a million people commented on your post. Please send it to me because I would love to see the post that did so well, but seriously. There are so many tools and so much tech that's available these days that you can use to, to save yourself time. So why not take advantage of it? Like literally, why not? Okay. Now, bonus strategy time. This is what we would do next inside of my mastermind. So we would build what I call a trust bridge, okay? Because remember, we are in a trust recession, so you need some sort of gateway offer, okay? Something that's priced maybe$47 to two$97, that solves one real problem and lets people experience your magic before making a big investment. So a small paid offer. That it really depends what it is. And the price is, I can't tell you what price you should charge because it really depends on how much your high ticket offer costs, right? So if you sell a$20,000 website and like full rebrand, then a$47 thing does not really make sense, frankly. Because you get, people are not gonna take it seriously. But a two$97 brand audit, right? Where they map out like what they would shift, what they would change the angles they can see for you the visuals that they can see for you. That would make a lot of sense. And that's something that someone would pay for if they're looking to start really going deep on their brand, right? So this might look like a 90 minute intensive or a paid audit, or if you're a coach, a mini course or a template bundle if you're an OBM or a live workshop that mirrors your coaching vibe, right? I always say your front end offer should mirror. Whatever the experience is of working with you on the backend, right? So an audit makes sense for a service provider because they can get a chance of what it's like to work with you, what your feedback looks like, or maybe a mini course or a template bundle. If you create templates for people or design templates for people, like you can create just like a little if you're a designer, you can create a small template bundle for them to to, to use as their base for their social media content, right? But some sort of front end thing that mirrors the experience on the backend, right? So my client created a one$97 website audit, and I think 40% of those buyers became full service clients, right? So it's not just a trust bridge, it's also a cash machine. Okay? But. It enables you to qualify people on the front end. It enables you to people to get a feel of what it's like to work with you so they can just see if they vibe with you and your style and it enables you to make some money while basically having a paid discovery session. You need to take what's worked for you in the past and optimize it to work for you now. Alright, so this is what your momentum era is going to do. We start the first week of May, and here is what you get. You get three to four private audios per week, right? They're gonna be short, potent, easy to digest. So three to four private audios per week with some like little like tasks for you. Nothing crazy. No. A hundred page workbook. It is just easy actions, optimizations, tweaks that you can make mindset reframes. It is going to be just, it's gonna give you so much energy to tap into this. I have just I'm just overflowing with just inspiration that I want to give you and also like some practical strategy as well because you need the practical piece as well. But I want you to be able to just tap in here and just feel confident when you come out of it and just be like, yes. Oh my gosh, I know what I need to do next. I know what I need to do next. That is what I want for you. Okay. We also have, you're gonna have a telegram thread. It's gonna take place in Telegram. You're gonna get weekly q and a. And real support from me and from the community. You're gonna have that community chat so you don't feel like you're doing this in a vacuum and you're doing it all by yourself, and you are gonna be invited to a CEO Mom Mastermind call with me and my mastermind clients where you are gonna build your spacious summer sales plan with me. Okay. Like this is going to be like you're basically invited into my private mastermind call one time. So it's gonna be the second to last week of May. And it's going to be incredible.
