Raising Your Business: For Moms Growing Their Business and Raising Their Family
89. The Real Secrets of CEO Moms - 2025 Edition
What if I told you that 2024 was my lowest revenue year since I started coaching—and that admitting this might be the most important thing I share with you all year?
In this raw and honest episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on why so many brilliant CEO moms have been struggling lately (spoiler: it's not just you), what's actually working in 2025, and why I created The Real Secrets of CEO Moms Summit for the third time—because we all need these real conversations right now.
After finding out I was pregnant the day before October 7th, navigating war anxiety while building a business, and watching my revenue drop despite having solid systems in place, I realized something: the game has changed, and nobody gave us the memo. But here's what I discovered after having intimate conversations with 12 incredible CEO moms—the ones thriving aren't doing MORE, they're doing LESS, but smarter.
If you've been feeling like you're the only one struggling to keep up, questioning whether you've lost your magic, or wondering why what used to work just... doesn't anymore, this episode is your permission slip to stop pretending everything is fine and start building a business that actually fits your real life.
(Note: the audio sounds different at different points because I was recording this post-bronchitis and had to go back and fix a few parts where my voice just got too hoarse)
What you'll learn:
- Why 2024 hit different for so many CEO moms (and why that's actually normal)
- The 4 strategies I'm seeing work consistently right now for sustainable mom businesses
- My "driving on the highway" analogy that will change how you think about long-term business building
- Why doubling down on 1-2 offers beats chasing shiny objects every time
- How to build for the long game when you're raising babies and businesses
- The real reason I created this summit (hint: I needed these conversations as much as you do)

I am a mom of six beautiful children five boys and one girl, my oldest is 15, my youngest is one, and I am also the host of the Raising Your Business podcast. And this real secrets of CEO Moms Summit. And this is actually the third time I have run this series. And I'm gonna be honest, this one hits a little bit different for me. What was really important to me before I go into why I created this, why this originally happened, I wanna just say that I, I, I'm very, very focused on making this a very curated experience for you. Okay? This is not like a, you know, super polished, gigantic summit with like 50 speakers and, you know, tons of like, freebies and, and, and, and like, oh my gosh, listen to all 10 of these in one day and you're gonna lose access. It is highly curated. Okay? There are 12 moms that I've interviewed in this. Private podcast series. It's very real. These are all women that I know personally whether I've worked with them as a coach or worked with them as a client or, or a business bestie of mine. And this is very, very intentionally intimate. I wanted you to not get overwhelmed by the amount of like content to consume. I will be linking their things in the in the descriptions, but I really wanted it to be something that you could just listen into, get super inspired by. And I also want to let you know that like you get access to this, like indefinitely, like as long as this private podcast exists as on the internet, you'll have access to it. I'm not taking it away, okay. Because I just feel like, you know, we have enough like stress and pressure on us already. So once you sign up for this, that's it. You're in and you can listen to these on your own time. That being said, I do have a, a live kind of training as, not even a training. It's kinda like a, an open heart. I was gonna call an open house, but it's more of like an open heart where I'm gonna be literally going live on Zoom. Limited spots available, but. Basically sharing my real secrets, what the past two years of my life has looked like business-wise and life-wise. I have been through a war pregnancy, postpartum you know, some, some kids, children like issues and, and marriage stuff and business like ups and and downs and like everything in between. And I have not really shared like the full picture of this. And I really think that like. I think that, I just wanna normalize this a little bit more, you know, and, and also realizing that like it is not always going to be perfect. It's not always gonna be the highlight reel. And I think so many people are focused on the highlight reel and showing up as the perfect person and as an Enneagram three, I'm very much like, you know, that is my. My energy is like, I want everyone to think I'm perfect. I would love for everyone to think I'm perfect, even my husband, although he knows clearly that I'm not. But I, I really do think that we need to normalize like, like the real ups and downs of of life, right? Of business. And if you are not expecting ups and downs in business, then you're not really expecting a real business. Okay. I'm gonna be honest because. There's like this sort of toxic, like ease conversation in the online space. Like all these, like feminine coaches would like just lean back and just set up one funnel and you'll make a bajillion dollars. And like a lot of the people who are saying this kind of stuff are, are not, are not. Really, really, really doing what they say they're doing. Okay. There's a lot of stuff happening behind the scenes that you don't see, that you don't know. I've seen it. I have heard it. So if you're looking at people and going, well, it seems so easy for them and look, they're making so much money and they're like working five minutes a day, that's probably not the actual reality. Okay. So I. Just wanted to kind of like give you that heads up that it's really, really important for you to realize this. And that is why I created the Real secrets. Okay? Because I wanna know what's really working for people behind the scenes and what's really not working for people behind the scenes. Okay? So why did I create this? Because the game has changed. Okay. The game has changed in 2025, and I wanted to know what is actually working now. I have an entire episode about like my story, as a business owner, but I'm gonna make it very, very long. Story short, I had four kids, realized we needed a second income, started off as a virtual assistant, moved into you know, Facebook ads and funnels and, and started building like a marketing agency. Then I got pregnant with my daughter after my first six figure year, which was fantastic except that I realized I was getting really, really burnt out. I realized I was building my business all wrong work. Moved into productizing my services ended up going from like a 2K month to like a 15 k, then 20 K month, then like two months basically. And and realized like how to run a business in a way that was the most productive and the most profitable and the most sustainable for me as a mom. And then I also realized that I really loved coaching more than anything else. And so after my daughter was born, she is now turning five At the time of this recording, like literally this week she's turning five and, and, and after that I just kind of went all in on coaching moms to build their own profitable, scalable, sustainable businesses. Just by the way. I I am a little bit hoarse because I basically like, had a really terrible sort of bronchitis situation. Lost my voice, got it back, lost it again. And so I'm trying to be very careful with it because I really wanna make sure that I can get through this entire intro and also record some podcasts and everything. But if I, this is not my normal tone of voice, you should just know this. So if you hear me and I sound different in the interviews. That is why. Okay, so I created this real secrets, especially this year because I had a baby a year ago. My, my, my baby boy is a year old, just turned one on June 20th, which is also happens to be my birthday. And I have had a baby before in business. In fact, the year after I had my daughter, I had my biggest year in business. Like my, my first multi six figure year in business. Okay. So I'd got, I literally almost like doubled my income the year when I had my baby home with me. And I thought, well, that's just how things go, right? I'll just bounce back really quick, right? I've built and run a successful business. I've had many, many, many six figure years, well, raising a whole bunch of kids, but this time hit different, and this was for a lot of reasons. Number one, I I am American. I'm from New York originally, but I live in Israel. I lived in Israel since I was a teenager when my family moved here and on, I found out that I was pregnant with my son on October 6th, 2023. The next day was October 7th, 2023, which was the day of the biggest single massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Okay? And this was in Israel about an hour away from me. So for context here over 1200 people were killed. Over 250 were taken hostage. It was a very traumatic experience, and that was like, I literally found out I was pregnant like that second and they, I'm not gonna go into the gory details, but a lot of stuff happened that day. And as the story started coming out and as the you know. The investigations and the autopsies. And we had a friend of ours who was in the Army, he was like dealing with a lot of the, his, one of his jobs was like, you know, taking care of the, of the bodies, of the people with as much respect as possible, you know, and we heard a lot of stuff that was going down. It was very, very traumatic and anxiety inducing. And I was also pregnant in my first trimester, which is like, for me, the worst trimester ever. I hate it. Like, it's just, it's the most stressful one for me in general because you know, you're nauseous and then like all of a sudden you won't feel nauseous for like. You know, an hour and you're like, oh my God, I'm not nauseous. Is everything okay? And then, you know, you, every time you go to the bathroom, you're like looking and checking for blood because like, what if something goes wrong? Like, I'm literally, like, my father's an ob, GYN. So I'm, and I've had, thank God I've had six children, seven pregnancies. I know pretty much everything can go wrong. And this is the, and you know, although I love being pregnant, I adore being pregnant. I literally, like, I, if I could have like five more babies, I would literally, and I know I sound crazy, but I, I, I would I basically, like, I just had so much anxiety during this pregnancy because it was this mix of. This war and, and you know, and obviously worrying about the baby, making sure everything's okay and trying to, you know, be present for my children and be reassuring to my children who, you know, were, you know, running into our safe rooms and there were, there were rockets and sirens and all kinds of things like that. It was, it was just a lot to hold and, my business like coasted for a good while because I had a really great sustainable business. Like I had a lot of recurring, you know, I had recurring revenue coming in. I, I, I had funnels that were kind of running and they were working'cause they were pointing towards the offers that I had. But I hit a wall at some point and you know, emotionally, mentally, financially. And I kind of felt like in this, this place of so much like. Loneliness. Right. It was the lowest year I've had in business this past year. 2024 was the lowest year I had in business since like I started as a coach. Okay. Because I really just was not able to be. Present the way I wanted to be for my business. I couldn't be, I literally couldn't be. And I was just very overwhelmed and just questioning everything. And I'm like, everything. I, I teach people how to build a business with, along, alongside a baby and, you know, and children and like, what, you know, what does this make me? Am I an imposter? Am I, you know, am I, am I a liar? Like, I, I, I don't feel like I'm holding it together. I don't feel like I'm handling it. And I was still in my masterminds, and I really had to lean into a lot of support from my coaches, but there was a certain amount of like amount that like, I felt like they just couldn't really understand, like no one could understand. Right. And that was a really horrible feeling. That was a really horrible feeling and it still felt like, you know, now looking at everything that was going on and just around that time was when like the online world took a very big hit in terms of AI came onto the scene. A lot of people were very, very jaded because they'd had made a lot of like bad investments before. And and I'm not saying nobody's buying and people are a hundred percent buying, they're buying low ticket, they're buying high ticket, they're buying mid ticket. Okay? They are buying. So I'm not saying that at all. What I'm saying is that. Making the same level of sales as you did before, was gonna take different skills or really just take, like, really going very heavily in on, on certain things. And I did not have like, the presence of mind to do that. Right. And I'm gonna talk about this more in my live training about like, literally like what was going on. And, but like I realized as I, as I look back over the past couple of years. And I'm still in a place of like uncertainty and trying to figure out like what my next step is. And I have some ideas about what my next step is, but I, you know, and, and, and the truth is when it comes down to it, I, I did end up taking some one-to-one clients some one-to-one, like done for you clients because that was like stuff that I knew I could do. And so as you know, and as I'm, as I'm taking these like one-to-one writing clients. I realized like my, my zone of genius, you know, that that comes out with my clients, my mastermind my marketing brain, my strategic brain was coming out with these one-to-one clients too. Even though they weren't necessarily hiring me for the strategy, they were hiring me more for like the writing piece. And and I was like, oh my God. Like really? When it comes down to it, I know I have skills. I know I am an expert in marketing. I know that. And so when I know that I will be okay. At the end of the day, because I have the skills and no one can take those skills and that knowledge away from me. Alright. That was a very comforting feeling because I was like, you know what? Like, this is great. This is, you know, that was, this is a great realization for me. That being said, I realized that I was not the only one feeling alone because I started seeing this pattern. Other moms were going through it too. They were not just burnt out because. You know, we all go through periods of burnout and we have to really work on taking care of ourselves and taking care of our, you know, our, our nervous system and all that. But kind of like this disillusionment and overwhelm and confusion and feeling like what used to work just doesn't work anymore. And I find that the online space right now is filled with a lot of pretending, right? People trying to look like everything is perfect and they have it all together. When a lot of things might be like falling apart, behind the scenes are not working as well as they're pre presenting it to be. And so I was really just craving real, real conversations. I wanted to be able to have a place where I could just ask some of the hard questions and, you know, and be like, well, you know, what, what didn't you like about your business after you had a baby? Right? Like, and, and I, and especially when I was speaking to Maggie Laney, when she was talking about how she had her babies, her first babies, and, you know, she realized she was just a different person after. And I remember talking to her and like thinking about interviewing her, and I was like, but I, I mean, this is not gonna apply to me so much because. You know, I've had so many children before, thank God. I mean, I'm, I'm lucky and I already had kids, so it's not like I, I've never been a mother after, after having a baby and having a business. But, but the truth is, after this baby, something inside me shifted and I just want something different. And I, I've been craving something different and I, and I realized that I had to really lean into like understanding. You know, going into my zone of genius, where I show up the best, how I serve my clients the best, right? And and helping my clients do the same and helping my clients do the same and helping my people and my audience do the same. And so that hit, that's been like my journey over the past year. And I'm gonna go again, I'm gonna go much deeper into this and the, the specifics during my real secret live training. And what I would love for you to do is fill out the intake form, which is gonna be linked below this. The intake form is going to not only give you a custom, kind of a custom plan based on what your best next steps would be based on your stage of business and your goal all. Alright? So when you fill it out, you're gonna get a, like semi custom plan. You know, with, with, with, with the exact steps on what to do to hit your next, whatever it, whatever your goal is, your next 5K month or, you know, book out your one-to-one clients create a more leveraged offer. Scale your business beyond, right? So. When you fall the intake form, you're gonna, you're not only gonna get that, but you're also going to get a, an invite to the q and a after my live training. So I'm gonna be delivering my live training all about like my real secrets and like the real conversations around, you know, motherhood and business and, and 2025 and what's been working and what's not been working.'Cause a lot of stuff is where I have worked and a lot of stuff I've really not. Okay. So when you fill out the intake form, you're gonna get the invite to the Zoom q and a where you can literally show up and get all of your questions answered, like hot seat, you know, like if you wanna submit a hot seat question get my, my, my brain on your strategy, on your business, on your messaging, on your offer. That is what I'm here for. And so when you fill out the intake form, you'll get that bonus q and a training. So here is what I've been seeing working right now in 2025 for CEO moms who are trying to really grow sustainably. So the first thing is, and I'm gonna obviously go deeper into this. These episodes are gonna go deeper into this. I'll be going even deeper into this in my live training. This is just a short little intro so you can get a feel for what we've been focusing on, what we've been talking about. But one thing is doubling down on one or two offers that sell really well. Like one is even better because you just wanna simplify as much as possible. Instead of just chasing new ideas every single month, we don't have time to chase new ideas, all right? We want to build a strong business foundation. Another thing I've been seeing working really well is doubling down on long form content. So nurturing through podcasts, emails, YouTube videos and relationships. Not just trendy reels, but really and using those long form pieces to not just nurture, but also to attract new eyeballs. Because actually chat, BT and AI has been. Kind of crazy, but it is basically SEO, like people have been asking chat for. Oh, I'm looking for someone who does this and chat will tell them actual names. So these long form pieces that need to be SEO optimized are not just going to nurture your existing audience, which they will, but if you optimize them properly, which I'm gonna talk about with Jenny Sunon, then. You can actually be found more and more, not just through Google search, but also through things like ai. Also bringing back really quality low ticket offers and low lift launches with that high converting core content that like leads to your, what Melanie calls your landing pad offer. I call the Emerald City offer, whatever you wanna call it low ticket that actually is geared towards the person who your high ticket offer is created for. That is a new, newer thing that's really working well. And making room for your real life, right? By simplifying your delivery model, simplifying your calendar, simplifying your to-do list. Simplify has been like the number one theme I've seen, like across the board with all of our conversations that, like everyone's been saying, when I simplified, I doubled down. I simplified. That's when I saw real success and honestly, the people who are still showing up and solving real problems, these are the ones who are still making sales, right? You just need to know how to speak to people right now in 2025, what they need to hear and how they need to hear your message in order to convert. I was really craving those real conversations, and that's what this real secrets of CEO moms is, is about. Okay. It's not just about strategies that work, but why they work, how they were built, and what they cost. The women who created them and, and, and, and what actually did. Stay even after they may have fallen apart or, you know, had, you know, had anxiety or had a baby or whatever that looks like. This summit is for the mom who has already built something but feels like the game has changed and no one gave her the heads up, or no one di her in on the new rules. This is for the mom who is juggling clients and kids and content and wondering if she's the only one feeling like it's just too much and like I just cannot keep up with the trends, not cannot keep up with what's working, what's not working, please just give me. The roadmap, just tell me what's going on. I might have lost track while I was giving someone a snack, right? This is for the mom who does not need more hacks. She needs a clear, steady plan and a peek behind the curtain. Okay? This is for you. Okay, so. Every single speaker in this series Is someone that I personally know, admire, trust, and or have worked with, okay? They're not just successful people, they're honest, okay? They're not trying to go viral with BS advice. They are doing the work day in and day out with kids in the background and businesses that are really, truly built for the long haul, the long game. I'm always talking about the long game, and I really wanna talk about that. A little bit more. And I'm gonna, that's why I'm gonna be doing this in my in my training because like, there's just so much to focus on, like what really is still working in 2025. And honestly, I realized that there were some things I really just needed to go back to basics on, like the stuff that I left behind thinking, oh, like, no, no one, no one really cares about that anymore. That's not really gonna work anymore because that was so 2022, some of that stuff. It's still 2025. Okay. It's still working. So I wanna talk about like the, the new stuff that's working, but also like the basics and the foundational stuff that still is important. Okay. So the long game, thinking about your business as a long game is crucial. Crucial if you are looking to grow it. Okay. I, I, I cannot stress this enough because when you're thinking about the long game, you're thinking about like, you know, okay, when it comes to motherhood, right? When you are building your family, you are not thinking about like, what, what kind of toddler do I want my child to be? Although you are in the moment thinking about, you know, I would love if I'd love for them to be a toddler that doesn't, you know, throw a tantrum every time. I don't give'em a candy. Right? But when you're raising your children, what you're thinking about is, what kind of adults do I wanna raise? Right? What is the long game here? I feel like motherhood is the longest game there is. And so you should already be kind of trained to be thinking about the long haul as a CEO. So. When you were thinking about the long game and when you're looking, you know, into the distance at that goal that you're trying to hit, your path is going to become much clearer. So much of the coaching industry is obsessed with these quick wins. It's I made a hundred K overnight, or I hit, 30 K in two hours or whatever. But for moms, the quick win does not mean anything if it burns you out. Okay? The long game is where the freedom actually happens. We are raising babies and businesses, and that means we need strategy that stretches with us and not just the hustle that like, just hijacks our lives. And take o takes over everything because I've seen the people with the business models that look really cool and look really fun have multiple different offers, multiple different containers, but. I actually noticed the commonality between all these people was that none of them had children, and I really wanted to make sure that I was building and you are building a business that's keeping its eye on the prize. And I wanna use a really cool like analogy for this. I just got my driver's license in April. It's a whole long story of what it took. It was 18 months of a lot. I'm gonna go into this more in my training because it's a whole story, but I finally got my driver's license in April and my husband was like, well, I'm not gonna put up with any of this, you know, oh, I'm afraid to drive here. I'm afraid to drive there. I'm afraid to drive out of the city because we know people who like won't even drive out of our town'cause they're too nervous.'cause Israeli drivers can be kind of crazy sometimes. And, and so he was like, no, you're driving on the highway. You're driving here, you're driving there, you're driving. You're driving and driving until you feel comfortable driving everywhere. And I remember the first time I was driving him with him on the highway I was on the highway and I was kind of like weaving a little bit. Like I was, I was, it was very like I was very like stop and start. It was very like kinda like, like trying to go into this, this lane or that lane or like trying to stay, just trying to stay. Steady on the road, and what he told me really, really landed with me and is something that landed with me and I'm like, wow, this is a great analogy in general. He said, don't look right ahead of you. The problem is that you're looking at the car in front of you, looking right ahead of you, and that's why you're not staying in your lane. He's like. When you are looking like two or three cars ahead of you, you're looking at the further into the distance you can look right, pick a place in the distance and look there. And you will not only see that place in the distance. You'll not only see that goal, but you'll also see all the cars in front of you, like outta the corner of your eye. And you will stay in your lane. You will stay steady in your lane. And that is the best analogy for business building I've ever heard. So thank you Izzy for that. I. I thought it was such a great, it was just, it was, it was so great because I'm like, yes, when you have a long game, you know where you want your business to be in three years, five years, you know, even in one year. Okay, just start with one year. But I was thinking even like, let's say three, let's say one to three years, you are going to be so much more on target because you will, you know, everything that you do, you'll be like, well, does this move me towards my goal of this business or this business model, or this income? Right. So that's what the Summit was born out of. I'm like, let me see what's working for people. Let's see, like, you know, where, where are they heading? What are the experience that led them to that? And so the summit was, honestly, I, I always, I was saying, I say this in a few of the conversations, it was a little bit almost like selfish because I was like, I wanted to pick their brains of these people. I literally sent invitations to people who I'm like, I wanna know all about what you do. Okay. These are the moms that I've been watching and learning from and having real conversations with behind the scenes. And I'm like, I want you to be able to just get on a call and ask them whatever questions I have. So I figured if I'm already having these chats, why not record them and share them with you? Because I know how powerful it is to feel like someone else gets it. And I chose to cap the summit at 12 Moms on purpose. I do not want it to be. Overwhelming. With a bajillion interviews, and again, in pressure and, and, and content, content, content. I want every single episode to feel digestible, like you're listening in on a really fun conversation with your two like smartest business friends. Okay. So you're gonna be hearing things about pivoting after a huge life change, like having twins or shifting industries. You'll be learning about running a bare minimum business model and hitting your income goals using AI and systems for smarter marketing. Podcasting as a sales strategy, what mentorship actually looks like when you are a mom, right? Getting clients not being on social media 24 7, writing emails in under an hour without feeling cringey or robotic, and. And so much more. Every interview is different. Okay. But they all had that sweet spot of really real and really strategic. These are not the highlight reels. These are. Raw, unfiltered conversations about what's actually working, what we let go of. I really, these are very lightly edited, very, very lightly. Okay. Because because I, I feel like I want it to feel organic and fun and, I want it to feel like you're just listening in on a conversation and just, you know, enjoying, like, hearing like all, all the secrets spilled I also want this to feel useful beyond just inspiration. That's why I'm inviting you to fill out that short intake form when you sign up, because based on your answers, where you are in business, what's working, what's not, again, I'm gonna send you a semi-custom business plan for the next six months. It's not gonna be just some generic PDF, like grow your audience sell stuff. Right. It is a very, very in-depth, detailed plan that is tailored to your stage, whether you're still trying to get booked out or you're scaling your offers, you want more leverage growth. And again, I'm gonna be hosting that live tell all training called My Real Secrets, what Worked, what didn't, in 20 25, 20 24, I'm gonna be spilling all the tea. I'm gonna be talking about what's been working right now in my business and what has not been working or what completely flopped or stopped working even though it used to work. I'm gonna talk about mindset breakdowns rebuilding stuff about my marriage my energy, my mental health, my identity as a CEO and a mom. The shifts that I've made and why I'm just done performing and overcompensating and how am I coming back to basics and simplifying and the exact kind of models and offers that I'm gonna be running now that feel light aligned and actually profitable and also like valuable to my clients. So you, you get access to that. Whether or not you fill out the intake form, I'm gonna be doing that, you're gonna be getting a heads up. You know, you can add it to your calendar. But if you fill out the full intake form, you're also gonna get an invite to a private Zoom q and a call with me that I'm gonna be hosting the week after the live training. So, because I wanna give you guys time to fill out the form, so this is your chance to ask me anything, okay? Offers, funnels, launch strategy, copy, tweaks, whatever you want. You'll get a real time hot seat and I'll coach you right there on the call. Or you can just come and soak it all in if you want. Okay? So this is not this. PO Private podcast series is not about being the perfect mom or the perfect CEO. It's about building a business that fits your life and not one that consumes it. So I want you to listen to those episodes. I want you to grab your plan, and I want you to leave with real momentum for the rest of 2025, okay? This is not about fluff. This is about building a business for freedom. This is your behind the scenes pass to the real mom business strategy that is working, and I'm so, so glad you are here. So the interviews are going to drop on July 14th. You get to listen to this. I wanted to give you this heads up and give you time to fill out the intake form so I could see exactly where you are at and what your questions are so I can tailor my training and my, you know, my live call. Towards you and what you need as well. And I cannot wait for you to hear and listen in on all the other interviews. They are phenomenal and I am just so, so thrilled that you are here. So quick recap before we dive in. We've got 12 incredible moms sharing what is actually working in their businesses right now. We've got a live tell all training where I'm spilling everything from the past two years, the pivots, the wins, the breakdowns, literally everything. You also get an intake form that is optional, but highly recommended that will give you a semi custom plan for your next six months to seriously grow to the next stage of your business and an exclusive invite to a private Zoom q and a if you fill that form out.
