You did everything right. You emailed, you pre-sold, you showed up all week long. Day 6 of your launch: two sales.

Sound familiar?

Before you blame your offer, rewrite your sales page, or spiral into "maybe nobody actually wants this" — I want to share something that came up on our final CEO Mom Mastermind call that made me feel both extremely validated and also super excited to share with you.

One of my clients went from 2 sales to 12 in a single day. And the thing she did differently? It wasn't a new funnel. It wasn't a fancy email sequence. It was so simple it's almost annoying.

In this episode I'm breaking down:

  • What she did on the last day that 5x'd her results
  • The real reason people weren't buying (it's not what you think)
  • How to add personal touchpoints to your sales process without living on Zoom
  • What separates the people who survive hard seasons from those who don't
  • Why the slow burn actually IS the build

If your launches have felt harder this year, this one's for you.

My client converted 10 people that she had personal conversations with. That is not a coincidence, that is a conversion rate that most people would kill for in a sales pitch. Her conversion rate was like close to 40% of people who saw her sales page 40% in a launch. We try to go for 3% is good. All right. And here's the thing. This is, like I said, this is not new information. It's that we got lazy when funnels worked on autopilot for a few years,

hello. Hello. Welcome back to the podcast. And today I wanted to talk about something that happened in our mastermind wrap up call that honestly just blew my mind a little bit. So quick life update. I am 29 weeks pregnant with baby number seven. It is getting real over here and I've been doing a lot of reflecting on what's actually working in business right now because. I'm gonna be honest, it's not what most people are telling you. And I know everyone is all about oh my God, and use Claude. And I use Claude to run my whole business and I use AI for this and I use AI for that and build apps and all that fun stuff. But I wanna break down a real launch story from one of my clients. And just a few takeaways that I had from our last mastermind call. And the exact thing that made the difference between two sales and 10 sales in one day, and what it means for your business this summer. And my goal is for you to walk away from this episode thinking about sales completely differently, and maybe even opening up your dams before the episode is even over. So let's talk about it. Before we dive in I have something really exciting coming for just a few mom entrepreneurs who are ready to make real money this summer without totally burning out. It is a new intensive offer that I am launching. I'm only taking five spots before I have my baby. So I'm gonna be giving you a few details at the end of the episode or dm me the word summer on Instagram right now and I'll send you all the details and we can discuss if this is the right fit for you. Because if you are ready, things are crazy right now. Ember is em, right? Like school parties up the wazoo and all that fun stuff, but you. I know you wanna make some money now, and you also know you want your business to run during the summer but you know that you're gonna be really busy. This is gonna be for you. It's like literally the perfect package to put together for a mom who wants to make money in the summer, but also wants to take the time off and be ready to hit the ground running again in the fall. So DM me summer on Instagram and we can have a quick chat over whether it's the right fit for you. If you are currently making even just a few thousand dollars in your business a month and you wanna make sure that you keep doing that, then or maybe even more then hit me up and let's chat. So let me set the scene here. I just wrapped up my CEO Mom mastermind in this last cohort of my CEO Mom Mastermind two years later. Okay, so I'm. Pausing it for now because I had the baby coming and things are gonna be crazy. And on our final call, we did something that I really love doing. We zoomed out, we looked at the whole picture, what worked, what did, and what was actually the thing that moved the needle, what they have learned, what they've taken away from these last couple of years. And my client, launched her first course to a tiny list while I watched her build the whole thing from scratch. Just read out her most recent launch of her second signature course and. Here's what happened. Her cart was open for a week. By the second to last day, she had two sales, After a week of emailing and prepping and pre-selling and the whole thing, like she did the whole pre-launch process, exactly the way we'd done it together twice before. And on the final date, 10 more sales in one day. The last day brought 10 sales. So five times the amount that she'd had previously, and you know what she did differently? She went into Instagram, looked into it, clicked through to your sales page from her emails, and send them personal voice notes. Hey, I saw you're checking out the program.

Speaker 3

What's your biggest stuck point right now with the thing that she helps them with?

Speaker

And then she actually talked to them like a human. And every single one of those people who bought on the last day had a personal conversation with her. That is it. That's the big secret. I'm kidding. No, I'm going. I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna talk a little more strategically here because this is actually something I have been doing since I started my business. This is not a new cool strategy that I'm like, oh my gosh, no one's ever done this before. And this is something all new and it's a new strategy that's coming out in 2026. No, but is gonna be more important than ever. Because the personal touch is the strategy right now. Okay? It is not a bonus on top of your strategy. It has to be baked into your plan, We are living in the age of AI content, And if you don't know how to use AI really well, and a lot of people don't, everything looks the same. It sounds the same. It feels the same. Everyone's oh, you can make carousels with Claude. You can make sales pages with Claude. You can write everything with Claude. Your audience is bombarded with content from every direction and probably over half, I would say close to maybe 75% of it was written by a robot, including some of mine. Like I'm saying, like when I do my show notes, they're mainly from Claude using my show note, my show note template, and then I'll edit it, right? So I'm not saying that I don't use it and I a hundred percent use ai and I actually have an entire episode to do just about how to use AI without losing your soul. I think I already did an episode about that actually, but. What actually cuts through a real human reaching out and saying, I see you specifically. I noticed you. I wanna know more about your situation. Tell me about you. My client converted 10 out of 12 people that she had personal conversations with. That is not a coincidence, that is a conversion rate that most people would kill for in a sales pitch. Her conversion rate was like close to 40% of people who saw her sales page 40% in a launch. We try to go for 3% is good. All right. And here's the thing. This is, like I said, this is not new information. It's that we got lazy when funnels worked on autopilot for a few years, and that's great. And funnels still work to an extent. I'm not saying I love a good low ticket funnel to bring people in the door. And I do think that you can bake a lot of your personality into your ads, into your funnels adding in videos, adding in personal touch points, all that kind of stuff. The fact is. The market has shifted and the people who are still making sales are the ones who either had a huge audience and ous amounts of credibility and like they're riding on that credibility until now, right? Which may or may not be you. You might have a humongous audience and huge amounts of credibility. But to me, the people who are still making sales, the ones that remember that selling, has always at its core, been about human connection, human to human. Now, the personal touch does not mean having to call 500 people, okay? It means who showed interest, who clicked, who opened your emails multiple times, go talk to them. That is where your sales are. And another interesting point is that. You these conversations are might actually help you see where your message might not be landing or where you might need to pivot or shift a little bit, right? Because if you're not making sales, you might not have the wrong offer. Your offer might be perfect. You might just have a messaging gap and a conversation will tell you exactly what it is. And my client shares something that hit me really hard. A couple of people on her list responded to her outreach and said, oh, I didn't even open the email with the price in it because I had no idea it was that affordable. Mind blown. She had people who wanted to buy and didn't because they assumed they couldn't afford it before they even looked.'cause they knew she is a very premium service provider. Her packages are multiple four figures to start with. To start with. And they know that. So that is a messaging gap that is not an offer problem. Her offer was fantastic. That's not a price problem clearly. Her price, honestly, I think was too low. And she, and it was a launch price and she is gonna raise it'cause it was a beta program. That's fine. This was a communication program and she only found out about it because she'd had that conversation and another person said, I think I'm not the right person for this. And she was able to say, actually, here's exactly why you are. And that person bought, you are never gonna be able to fix the messaging gap from inside your own head. You find out what the gap is by talking to people. That is market research, but it's also sales. And I wanna say I'm just super proud of my client for holding the energy till the end. Holding that energy till the end is hard, especially when you feel like you're not on target to hit your goals, right? And, but she did it and she pushed to the end, and I'm just so freaking proud of her for doing that. So I just wanna say that is a really important thing. Hold the energy and look for the opportunities to. Ask people questions so that you can pivot in your messaging. And when I say like when all sales, and this is my, one of my big goals, this May, is to be having. Conversations. I am looking to start as many conversations as possible, have as many conversations as possible. This has been my goal since I came back to work after my first trimester, and it's still my goal. So if your launch is not converting the way you would hope before you scrap the offer, before you rewrite the whole sales page, before you decide that nobody wants this and it sucks and you suck, and then maybe you should go work at Starbucks, go have five conversations with people who showed interest, Find out what they're thinking. And I promise you, you're gonna find you're gonna learn more in these five conversations than in any copywriting course you'll ever take. And here's what I'll say. I have always, for a very long time, like I always reached out to people directly when I saw'em clicking. At first, I was doing it manually in Zoom first. I did it in Zoom, I literally made a list. I went to my list of clickers, and then I made a list of everyone who had clicked on an offer. And then I recorded on Zoom individual messages that I then sent directly to them in email. I added it as an attachment. Then I started doing it in Loom and I was like, Hey, loom is easier'cause it's, recording it on online, it's quicker. Then I signed up for Bonjour and I literally had a, like a, like an automation that whenever someone would click, they would get tagged and they would get put into my Bon Juro list of people to follow up with. And bonjoro is basically, if you have not ever come across this, I will, I'll drop the link in here. It is basically a video, like a video communication, like a video message, software that you can. May create a list of people to connect with based on whatever, based on being tagged in email whatever it is, based on taking a certain action. And then you can send them each an individual email. It makes it create the workflow of it makes it very simple to do. And it could take time when I've had 30 videos in a day sometime, but I've converted a lot of people through those videos and people were shocked because I would. Address them with their full name, like with their actual name. Or I would say, oh hi, whatever your name is. I'm not sure how to pronounce it. Can you tell me how to pronounce your name?'cause no one pronounces my name correctly. And they were like, oh my God, I can't believe you're messaging me directly. And I made a lot of sales, even if they didn't buy in that round of the launch. They were so taken aback by the fact that I had reached out to them directly and had actually spoken directly to them with their name and asked them about like where they were and, whatever I knew about them, if I did know them, that lot of them converted to offers later. Again, I've been doing this for a very long time, and I cannot recommend it enough. I cannot recommend it enough. Always have a click tag set up in your email service provider. Always, if you can. Always right. And there are so many ways, add personal touchpoint into your funnel, which I cannot even gonna get into because it's way too long, but even this small. Shift can make such a difference. So number one, what I'd love to do is whenever people download a freebie or sign up for a low ticket offer of mine I ask them for their Instagram handle and they don't have to give it to me. They could just put like na and they don't have to do it. But if they do, I like to reach out to'em and be like, Hey, I saw you downloaded this. I, so you bought this. How are you liking it? I even if I, even if they don't convert right away, even if they don't respond to me right away, whatever, I now have started a conversation with them. I've opened up the conversation and now I'm able to, now I'm able to actually, continue it when I can think of maybe an offer that might be great for them based on the offer that they purchased, right? So I think it's really important to remember that. Personal touch points don't have to be hard. You can send five dms a day. Literally looking through your inbox, who, who's been clicking, who's been checking things out, five dms a day. Or again, like I said, set up click tags where you have people, like tagged as interested in an offer. If they click the link of the offer and then we have reach out to'em directly. Either email them, set up an automation, like a, like an abandoned cart, automation that reaches out and invite them to have a conversation with you. There are so many ways you can do this, and it does not require having to get on sales calls and spend all your time on Zoom. But even just a quick conversation with dms can make a huge difference. 10 people converted because of conversations with dms. 10. Okay. So that is really important.

And I just wanted to add something really clever that my client did, was that she had people opt in from Instagram to see the sales page. So when she would send people to her sales page from her Instagram story, she would send them to an opt-in page to give their name and email address. And then when they came in through that form, they were tagged as having come from Instagram and then she. She would send them straight to the sales page. So they had to basically give their name and email address to get the details, so to speak. And that was amazing because number one, she was able to track exactly who came from Instagram and she could match up like their names and their, and like their details a little bit and she could look them up on Instagram and find them. But also helped to just track like literally'cause you could see on Instagram that people are clicking but you can't see who clicked which is annoying. Unless you have a ManyChat bot, which is tracking it. So her bot would literally just send people to her opt-in form just to keep track of who exactly was coming through Instagram and who was. And who was actually looking at the sales page directly from Instagram, which I thought was so smart of her.

Speaker

And the last thing I learned from this mastermind call was that the slow burn is the build. If you feel like things have been slower this year for you, you are not behind. You are building something that's, that lasts, and this may be the most important thing that I saw on that mastermind wrap up call, and I wanna say it to you directly because this was just like, that was a mind blowing thing from you. And I was like, wow. She's oh, this launch was really interesting. I'm like, how is it interesting? And I was dying to hear, and then when she shared what had gone on with me, I was like, this makes so much sense because in ai, the more we use ai the more people are gonna wanna feel that they're speaking to a human. That they're dealing with a human. So I cannot recommend this enough. And if you want my personal eyes in your business to help you figure out what personal touch points you can add to your sales process in order to convert more people, then you can grab a money map for me. And I'll put the link in the description as well. It is, I will literally look at your business and audit it and find where your sales are and make personalized suggestions. So just wanted to let you know that's a total side note, but that is how you can get my eyes and your business at the moment in a very quick. In a very quick in a really, like low, low key way. But I will go deep. I will go deep on your stuff. Now, again, now the last thing I know I'm, I jump all over the place, but again, this low burn, So many of you might be looking at your last six months and feeling like. Things are just not working the way they used to. Maybe your revenue is down, conversions feel harder. You're wondering if you're doing something wrong. And what I want you to know is that you are not alone. It's not just you. I'm in a lot of rooms right now. I hear it from a lot of people. The market is always shifting, Conversions are harder across the board. There is more noise, there's more competition. There are more options for your audience. But here is what separates the people whom who make it through seasons like this and the people who don't. The ones who make it know exactly what works for them. To make sales. What is their genius? What is their superpower? Even if they're not doing it at full capacity right now, they know. And that means when they're ready to turn it back on, they can. Another client, my mastermind said in herself, she knows exactly what to do. We know we know exactly what brings people into her world and what brings sales into her world. She converts amazingly on live workshops, and we created a whole plan for her with, a, kinda like a. And other people's audiences tour where she was gonna do live workshops, other people's audiences do joint workshops, JV things. She has not been doing it in full capacity this year because she's been dealing with a lot of real life stuff that's been happening. In her life. She's in her life and their health with her family and. And I said by, I said to her, the fact that you know what works for you is not a small thing, That is the result of years of showing up even when things were hard and trying things and seeing what worked and doubling down on it and doing it again. Because she knows that every time she shows up and does a live workshop and shows up for her audience, shows up for other people's audiences. She brings new people into world and she makes sales, right? Not everyone figures that out, And she has, and when she is ready to turn it on, she can turn it on, right? So if that is you. If you're in the place of knowing like what to do, but needing someone to come alongside you and help you actually do it this summer or before the summer in May, that is exactly what I'm building the summer sales intensive for. I just wanted to say, if you are feeling like, I can't really put my finger on what has worked for me. I've tried a lot of things. Sometimes they've worked, sometimes they haven't, all that kinda stuff. Then I can help you because I am the genius isolator. I can literally talk to you for 10 minutes or less and help you figure out exactly what will work for you. I'm just, I'm really that good at it. I'm not gonna be modest about it. It is a fact. If you learn nothing else from this episode, I want you to remember three things. Number one, personal connection is the conversion strategy. Right now, it does not need to be a cool new funnel. It does not need to be a fancier email sequence, which those are good to have, but actual human conversations with people who have shown interest in your work will convert faster than anything else. Number two, a launch that feels hard does not mean that your offer is wrong. It might mean there's a messaging gap that a five minute conversation would fix. And number three, the slow burn is the build. You're not behind, you're building something that lasts. Alright? If you are still here and you are still showing up and selling, even in the hard seasons are the ones who are gonna still be standing when the season shifts. So I mentioned this at the beginning and I wanna come back to it because it's relevant to everything we just talked about. I'm opening up five spots for a summer sales intensive. This is gonna be one-to-one work with me. It's gonna include a kickoff strategy call, asynchronous coaching. A custom summer sales plan built around your specific offer and audience in Genius. And we're gonna figure out what you're selling this summer. We're gonna create a simple pre-sale strategy and map your nurture plan so that you can launch a leveraged version of that high ticket premium offer. In the fall, so that way when you come back in September or October, whenever you come back, I'm personally coming back in October, but we are going to map out your plan to nurture people towards, if they have not yet joined your premium offer or your premium service, we're gonna nurture them throughout the summer and make a specific plan for that so that you can come back in September and sell whatever you want. You can relaunch your service or you can. Downsell a new leverage income stream in your business, which is exactly what I do with my clients in the low key launch method. I've literally done this with them directly and I'll be doing it with you. These are one-to-one spots. I have a couple of VIP cool options. I'll be doing some of the writing for you, but this is the kind of work that I was doing with my clients for two years in the Mastermind and for years and years before. That is what got my client to 10 sales in one day with a tiny list, is what got my client to beta launch twice to her list, right? And also do a very low key chill launch in May, which is like her, one of her busiest months of the year and still make 5K cash and more in payment plans. While she was going on vacation. And I'm gonna opening this up for five people before I go on maternity leave in July. So DM me the word summer on Instagram. I'm at@theyaelbendahan. I'll send you all the details. And if this episode resonated and you're like, oh my gosh, I need this in my life. Or I need ideas for how to incorporate personal touches into my business. All that kinda stuff. Share it with a mom, entrepreneur friend who needs, see, hear this right now. Leave me a review if you feel so moved. It really genuinely helps more people find the show. And share this in your Instagram stories. I love seeing people listening and taking things away and getting ideas and getting strategies and getting inspired. Please do share if you are taking something away from this. And if you have any questions about the intensive or you wanna grab a money map, I'll drop the links in the show notes. I cannot wait to hear from you. I cannot wait to hear what your biggest takeaway from this was, and I will see you next week.
